Hilarious! C’mon. Where’s, Mr. Network Engineer? We couldn’t get a QoS policy map configured (temporarily) to prioritize traffic from Mr. Jobs iPhone during the presentation? http://gizmodo.com/5557458/watch-the-apple-keynotes-network-meltdown

Ok, so QoS wasn’t the issue (whew! Sorry Apple NetEng). It was reported that there were 500+ hotspots (i.e. roque access points) crowding the airspace causing intermittent connectivity from the iPhone. Maybe in the future, Apple will consider enabling wireless IDS/IPS features that will effectively disable the rogue AP’s (i.e. DoS attack) like in the Cisco WLC solutions temporarily during the keynote to prevent this from happening in the future.
